AfCE originates, writes and delivers training courses to meet
the needs of tenants and landlords in social housing.
Recent examples of this provision includes:
Fund raising training for tenants organisations in three parts
Part 1 - Introduction to successful fundraising - Developing a Funding strategy
- Identifying needs, objectives and sources - Developing a case for funding and an
action plan.
An AfCE Workbook forms an important part of this training session.
Part 2 - Applying for funding - A practical session building on the work completed
in part 1 for small grant applications- includes preparation of an outline proposal,
matching up funders’ aims with the proposal, the value of a mission statement, selecting
and obtaining forms and guidelines understanding the forms and processes.
The end result is a completed small lottery funding application.
Part 3 - Using the web as a funding resource - Held in a computer training centre
and building on parts 1 and 2. A practical day in using the Internet as a funding
resource.
Some software is provided for the participant’s own use.
